INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS MANAGEMENT OFFICE
The Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology (DOSCST) inaugurated its Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IP-TBM) Office through a Marker Unveiling Ceremony earlier today, May 18.
Among the guests that were present in the event are SUSTAIN-IPTMB Project Leader and Director of USeP KTTD Engr. Filmann T. Simpao, DOST XI Provincial Director Ms. Sharon Alegado, SUC President III Dr. Roy G. Ponce, and VP for RDE Dr. Wilanfranco Tayone.
The ceremony signifies the establishment of an institutionalized IP-TBM office in the College as part of its organizational structure. This office, led by DOSCST-IPTBM Project Staff Mr. Venson B. Sarita, will have a separate identity and will be in charge of Intellectual Property Management which will include copyright, patents, utility models, and trademarks for future research and inventions.
DOSCST is considered the top institution in the Davao Region for the most applications in IP models. This accolade is a clear manifestation of the Collegeโs commitment to being a top-notch hub for research and development in the country.

With the Copyright Registration, the ownership is granted and protected within the lifetime of Mr. Austria (author) and for fifty (50) years after his death per the stipulations of Republic Act No. 8293, or the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.

The Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology (now known as Davao Oriental State University) caused the said material’s registration and deposit with the National Library of the Philippines (NLP), through the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
With the Copyright, the ownership is granted and protected within the lifetime of Ms. Nicolas (author) and for fifty (50) years after her death per the stipulations of Republic Act No. 8293, or the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.

The present utility model relates to a machine for separating metal parts or objects, specifically to a multi-purpose hydraulic engine cylinder remover having a hydraulic boom with a detachable base plate that could eject the engine cylinder in different shapes and sizes.
The registration grants unto Dr. Francisco the exclusive right throughout the Philippines to make, use, sell or import the utility model for a term of seven (7) years from the date of filing or until or until February 22, 2028.
